The Department of English was established in 2017 with the objective of promoting excellence in language and literary studies. It aims to cultivate excellence in language, literature, and communication skills among students. It provides a strong foundation in literary studies while enhancing critical thinking and creative expression. The department promotes cultural awareness by exposing learners to diverse literary traditions and perspectives. It prepares students for various career opportunities in teaching, media, writing, and other professional fields. The Literary Club in English department provides a vibrant space for students who love the written and spoken word. The Literary Club also bridges classroom learning and professional preparation. For students aiming for careers in education, publishing, or journalism, the club provides hands-on opportunities to build practical skills often underemphasized in lectures: empathetic listening, constructive peer review, editorial practice, and event management. Activities such as running the club blog, organizing literary festivals, and leading seminars help students move from passive readers to active cultural contributors while developing a strong leadership and creative portfolio.

The Department of English is equipped with a well-facilitated Language Lab and Media Lab to support effective communication training and multimedia learning. The Language Lab focuses on enhancing listening, speaking, pronunciation, and soft skills through digital tools and interactive software.
